A natural born social butterfly, Monica Leigh always knew that performing was in her blood, but more

importantly, it came natural to her. At a young age, Monica found her first love which started with

dance. She dedicated herself to learning ballet as the foundation and later drew interests to becoming

more specific to other types of dance. As she pursued dance, she also took a strong interest in theatre

and stage production. Involving herself in every aspect that she possibly could, she was eager to learn the ins and outs of being an actress. As entered college at the University of Maryland in College Park,

she became quite involved in the arts. Taking a pretty heavy class load each semester, it never slowed

her down from perfecting the art of dance as well as performing on stage. She started auditioning for

things on campus such as school productions and also challenged herself to audition for roles and

performances that were orchestrated outside of the school, sometimes having to travel out of state for

the auditions. As of today, Monica continues to surround herself with acting as well as dance. She has won several awards including, “Best Actress” as well as “Viewer’s Choice” in a feature length film.
